We assess together with the client the appropriateness of registration and the protection strategy to be followed. Industrial Designs refer to the appearance of a product: its shape, ornamentation, figure and colour.
Within the Industrial Design service, our professionals perform the following services related to this type of registration.
- Assessment together with the client of the appropriateness of registration and the protection strategy to be followed.
- Preparation and filing of the industrial design dossier with the national Patent Office, as well as Community models/drawings, international models or industrial designs/models with Patent Offices abroad.
- Defence against examiners' objections or possible oppositions, until they are granted.
- Defence of our clients against third party requests.
- Maintenance of granted industrial designs or industrial models and payment of the corresponding renewal fees.
- Oppositions, observations and appeals against competing designs and models in Spain or abroad.
- Audits of the industrial design portfolio to assess the degree of protection achieved to date and suggest corrective actions.
